A new, retro-style action-RPG that was previously published on Steam in June this year, is now coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
Aggelos is a Metroidvania adventure “that looks like it was plucked straight out of the 16-bit era, but plays like a modern-day marvel”. No one would have any doubts that the game was created in the 80s if they just took a look at it. It really looks like a mixture of Zelda 2, Ys III, and Wonder Boy in Monster World, by which it was originally inspired. Aggelos has detailed and colorful graphics. Music is catchy and relaxing, and the songs are also retro-inspired.
The game’s plot is primitively simple. Your main goal is to defeat creatures from another dimension who want to invade the Kingdom of Lumen. In order to do that you’ll have to collect magical elements located inside four elemental temples while you explore the vast world. Unlocking magic abilities and special attacks will enable you to chain combos together and quickly annihilate your enemies. Aggelos‘s release date is set for December 31st, 2018.
