SOMA is Free to Download on GOG Today

Written by Nate Lakritz on December 29th, 2018.

As part of GOG’s winter sale, survival-horror hit SOMA is free for anyone to download until December 30th at 11:00 AM UTC. That means there’s only about 12 hours left to pick up the game at the time of this writing. All you need to do is visit SOMA’s page on the GOG store, log into an account, and claim the game. It will then be permanently available in your GOG games library.

For those unfamiliar, SOMA is a popular horror game released in 2015 by the developers of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It throws the player into chaotic underwater lab filled with puzzles, monsters, and mystery. The single-player narrative doesn’t rely on jump scares to get the job done. Instead, it’s an atmospheric experience that gradually immerses the player, and now anyone can dive right in for free.
