Stack Up Charity Launches Military Appreciation Month Fundraiser
Written by Nate Lakritz on May 19th, 2019.

Starting on Armed Forces Day (May 18) and running until Memorial Day (May 27), Stack Up is holding a fundraiser for veterans. The organization is a gaming-focused US military charity and gives veterans opportunities to attend gaming events and receive games in the form of “care packages”. Gamers are being asked to donate in honor of Military Appreciation Month and can represent streamers or organizations in their efforts. The donor drive page shows a live leaderboard and progress toward a goal of $200,000.
Rewards such as Stack Up clothing, plushies, and gaming chairs will be given out to some donors, although it has not been specified whether or not everyone qualifies for these prizes. Regardless, 90% of Stack Up donations directly support veterans and “fight the effects of depression, combat injuries, and post-traumatic stress by supporting servicemen and women through the benefits of gaming.” Charity streams will run periodically throughout the week, so be sure to keep an eye out!
