Right now and for the next 11 days, Humble Bundle is offering its second 2K Bundle. The bundle offers quite a few good 2K titles depending on how much you donate (and more to come soon!). Donating $15 or more will get you a copy of the class-based shooter Battleborn, a key for Borderlands: the Pre-Sequel, and all the other goodies in the bundle (along with 10% off the monthly subscription — more on that later). If you’ve been itching to try Battleborn, now would be a great time to buy. Fifteen bucks will get you the game, a skin pack, and some in-game currency to use on micro-transactions. In addition, some of the money you spend will go directly to the Game Changer charity, whose goal is to provide support to children and families who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses. If impulse buys leave you feeling guilty, try an impulse charity donation instead. 😉
If you haven’t heard of Humble Bundle yet, you’ve been missing out! Humble Bundle is a game store/subscription service/charity promoting organization. What they offer is a digital store that donates a percentage of every dollar you spend to all manner of charitable organizations (and even lets you pick your favorite!). In addition, they collaborate with charities and developers to create sponsored bundles that they feature on their front page. These bundles offer you boatloads of curated content in return for a donation. Bundle profits are split between the sponsored charity (and your favorite, again!), the developers, and the Humble staff in a certain ratio that you can tweak yourself. In addition to that, they also offer a monthly subscription package. The monthly charge is $12, and in exchange you get a huge bundle which is like a mystery present full of games! Every month comes with a major featured title, some smaller games, and a few hand-picked exclusives. Not only that, but subscribers get 10% off the standard store prices, which can compete with Steam head-on most days. Seriously, if you haven’t checked it out, if you want your purchases to go to a good cause, or even if you just want some good cheap stuff: CHECK OUT HUMBLE BUNDLE!!!
